Full Size Bar Soap-(For every bar soap purchased, we donate 2 mini bar soaps)
ELF = Essentials for the less Fortunate
The purpose of this project is to provide warm food, hygiene products, and necessities for keeping warm to people who are less fortunate. We will do this by using the donations given to purchase the supplies needed. A small portion of donations will be used for travel expenses (gas).
Each care package costs $7.78 and includes all items listed (besides food preparation supplies).
We have 2 types of bags we hand out, as well as a few other items we hand out.
“Step Out” ELF Bags
This is our basic bag that usually comes in a drawstring/sling bag and contains the following items:
Mini-bar of Soap, Brush, Socks, Deodorant, Toothbrush, Toothpaste
In winter months we like to be able to provide gloves, hats, emergency blankets, handwarmers, and other warming supplies that we have access to.
“Step Up” ELF Bags
This is our “Starting Fresh” bag, typically given to people who are entering transitional housing, experienced a major tragedy resulting in loss of
These bags normally come in a backpack and contains the following items:
Essentials +, Washcloths, Personal supplies, Towel, Utensils, Plate, Bowl, Cup, Coffee Mug, T-shirt or Hoodie.
Other Items We Hand Out
Books – (e.g., Self-Help Books, Bibles, Journals)
Hot Food – (e.g., Sandwiches, Hot Dogs, Water)
Other Needs (Boxes) – (e.g., Blankets, Small Household Goods)
